Marc Noonan is a founder, partner, and wealth advisor at Clover Wealth Partners. The firm was organized on April 23, 2024, when Marc welcomed his partner, JC Hutchins, into the fold. Marc has owned his own independent advisory firm since 1990, and is licensed to work with clients from coast to coast. With 36 years of experience, he holds Series 7, 6, 66 and 63 securities registrations.
“I chose this profession and do what I do because I love to help people. After all these years, creating a comprehensive plan to build a long-term financial program for a client is still something I get excited about. More than that, I enjoy building personal relationships. I am proud to say most of my clients have become very close; more than friends, more like family. And I am extremely proud that a few have become some of my very closest friends,” Marc says. “By becoming a team and family, I have seen that achieving goals becomes much more possible than trying to go it alone.”
“Our mission at Clover Wealth Partners is to leave no stone unturned when it comes to implementing the best possible financial plan for each client’s unique situation. I may not have an answer immediately, but I know how to get the answer in an expeditious fashion because of my network of experts built up over the years. I hold myself accountable and if, as a normal flawed human, I make a mistake, I commit to not allowing that same mistake to ever happen again.”
Marc has a wide and varied background in many aspects of the financial services industry, giving him deep perspective and an understanding of entrepreneurship and business ownership that other wealth advisors might not have. He was an independent life and health agent from 1990 through 1996, specializing in helping both business owners and employees with business and personal financial solutions. From 1996 through 2000, he co-owned Nelson/Noonan Life and Health Agency, where he continued his work in helping business owners and their employees maximize their benefits and personal financial matters. In 2000, he co-founded Ellison Noonan Financial Services, where he spent 14 years helping state employee union members and their families with their financial needs. From 2014 to 2020, he was part owner of American Retirement Solutions, which expanded services to union members nationwide to help them maximize their benefits at work, and create strong financial plans for their families at home. From 2020 to 2024, Marc went completely independent helping business owners with both their personal and business financial planning until he became co-owner of Clover Wealth Partners alongside JC Hutchins in 2024. Marc still specializes in helping business owners both at work as well as at home through the creation and implementation of their custom, comprehensive financial plan.
Born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, Marc left town to attend the University of Kentucky in Lexington, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree. He went to work in Lexington, was transferred back to Louisville, where he did post-graduate work at Bellarmine College, falling short of receiving an MBA when he was transferred to Orlando. It was while working in Florida that he realized his young boys would be better off with both sets of their grandparents back in Louisville. He moved back, and began working in the financial services arena, where he’s found his passion ever since.
“My boys are grown men today, aged 34 and 36, and I hold them in the greatest regard for offering me the chance to coach all their teams until they grew up, when their athletic abilities far exceeded my coaching abilities and they moved on,” Marc says. “I sat on the school-based decision-making council every year that they attended elementary, middle, and high school. My wife and I agreed that you can’t complain unless you are involved, and I am proud to say she was the PTA president during all the levels of their education. In addition to being PTA president, she was also fundraising chairwoman, heading some of the largest fundraiser events each of the three schools had ever experienced.”
Marc has been married to Dee A. Noonan for 37 years. They have two grown boys, Zachary, 36, married to Sydney, and Maxwell, 34, married to Mandi. As Marc puts it, “What a ride! I live in Louisville with my wife where we are comfortable and happy. And I must confess that our four grandchildren are the most special things in my life! Rawlins Ryan Noonan is age 6, Lyric Carlyle Noonan is age 5, Bexley McNeal is age 15, and McKinlee McNeal is age 11.”
“In addition to my family, I enjoy having my friends over to sit at The Veranda, The Patio, The Kitchen, and The Basement, which are all worth coming to. I say that because, seriously, if you want to enjoy my, my wife’s, and my family’s company, that’s where we are,” Marc says. “We go out every now and then, but when you come and join us at any of those areas at our home, you’ll see why we don’t care to leave. You build a dream in your mind about what nirvana looks like, and lo and behold, all you have to do is recreate your home to what you always hoped it would look like. It might take you awhile. We bought ours in 1999 and just got it right in 2024, so hey, why go anywhere?” Marc laughs. “I love how my business offers me the chance to help the people I meet build their own Veranda, Patio, or their personal version of nirvana because isn’t that really what it’s really all about?!?!?”
